Free Resources
Free resources to help pupils understand the method, practise with purpose and learn more independently.
These resources are chosen to make the thinking clearer, show useful patterns and help pupils become less dependent on repeated tuition.
Featured resource
Start with one useful resource. More will be added gradually when they genuinely support learning.
A Good Way to Spend Time
A 12-page resource pack that shows pupils how to unpack a composition title, explore the picture possibilities, find a meaningful story idea and choose a suitable story structure.
It also shows how language can do a job in the story and how the same thinking can be transferred to a different composition instead of memorising one model essay.
